Christie's got $33 Million for Matisse Painting L'Odalisque, Harmonie Bleue

The first big sale at Christie’s Impressionist and modern art auction, Matisse’s L’Odalisque, harmonie bleue. It sold after an extended bidding war between a telephone bidder and a male bidder in the room. The painting finally went to the telephone bidder. Maybe to a Russian Collector. It was estimated to sell for $15-$20 million.
Bravo!
