Serpentine Co-Director Hans Ulrich Obrist attributes the growing synergies to the fact that "all of a sudden contemporary art has more of an impact on the world."
In our current culture and in our moment, contemporary art has become a lead discipline, and it really inspires many other fields," says Obrist. It is, he says, less a case of blurred boundaries and slipping standards than of shared skill sets and of "going beyond this fear of pooling knowledge." [from bloomberg]
